Who We Are

Hassen, Owner/Operator

hassen

In addition to running Organic Home, Hassen is a published poet and multimedia artist, incorporating photography, art, music, text and video for 'real' and virtual projects - which, needless to say, doesn't pay the mortgage. Rather than continue selling her soul for an income and spending the rare spare time in what seemed like futile political action, she decided to put her energy into something more effective or at least aligned to her values and needs - Sustainable Business. In her role as a professional organizer, speaker, business owner and a Board Member for the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, her goal is to empower people and communities to improve their quality of living via physical, economic, environmental and emotional sustainability. Hassen lived in the Midwest and the West Coast before moving to the Philadelphia area in 1997. Prior to forming Organic Home, she worked as a professional organizer, framer (art), personal assistant, property manager, and waited tables to support herself and the apple of her eye, Boy Jared (now 21yrs old!). She now lives with her partner, Heather Radawski, and feline, Jet, in a cozy old home in Camden County, NJ with a big porch and a garden.

Marlee, Cleaning Agent, Personal Assistant

"I am first and foremost a proud mama to olivia, a bright and energetic almost 2 year-old. i have a background in fine arts and non-profit organizing. When i'm not working for organic home, i knit too much, take my daughter on hikes, work on social justice issues, play music and consume a ridiculous amount of coffee."

Andrew, Cleaning Agent

"My name is Andrew Stack. I am 20 years old and currently a sophmore in college. I plan on attending Temple University next fall for criminal psychology. My passion is music and I play Trombone, Bass, Euphonium, Tuba, and a little violin and piano. I love almost all genres, but Bach, Rush, Saves the Day, and Muse are some of my biggest influences. I take interest in everything from politics to physics to sports, and I enjoy running and debating with people. I am in a relationship with my best friend and high school sweetheart, going on four years. My future plans include a family, attaining my PhD., and using applied research to study and help mentally ill criminals through methods other than our corrupt prison systems and mental hospitals."

Charlie, Cleaning Agent

"I'm a Meditation/Yoga instructor. I also play, write, produce and enjoy listening to music. I believe each one of us can make the world more beautiful and peaceful by being present, awake and aware and by trying to be peace and love in each moment."
